Out in car to PO, to CNIB, Rhoda came, left, home at 5:20pm, read paper, supper, laid down and slept til 7:30, up and talked, read, played Crib with Rhoda and Gerry, won 1, read til 10:45, had cereal and teal, watched hockey game, Score Montreal 1, St. Louis 0, bed.

Rhoda gone in car to lodge, watched hockey game on TV til 9:40, score Montreal 3 St. Louis 2, did writing, had tea and bread, bed - Rhoda home late.

May 10, 1968 Friday mainly clear, temp at noon +42F

Up at 6:50, dressed, shaved, washed, breakfast, out in garden for awhile, KR, left at 8, in car to PO, to work, orders til 10:30, tea, washed windows on outside til 12, out in car, home, read, lunch, dozed for awhile on chesterfield, out to garden, to work, orders til 3:30, tea, same til 5, out in car to PO, got Rhoda, to IGA, did groc shopping, home, put stuff away, supper, just 3 of us, Rhoda getting hair done, read, laid down, slept til 7, changed, left at 7:35 to Smith and Graham and picked up Rhoda at hairdressers, to Linda and Phil’s in St. Norbert, played with cat while they all looked at the baby, dark hair, women call them cute at that age, but actually they are pretty ugly---talked, had tea and cake, Linda makes nice cake, left at 10:45, home via Waverly to Taylor, to Kingston to Portage Ave, home by 11:30pm, talked, bed.

May 11, 1968 Saturday fair and warm, temp at noon +46F

Up at 7am, dressed, shaved, washed, made breakfast, talked, outside to trim turf around edge of lawn til 9:10am, ready, then left in car to drugstore, took Rhoda to CNIB, KR, left to bakery, home, worked outside on lawn and trimming up the yard, Chris and Gerry both helped, put tools away at 12:10, made and had lunch, laid down and slept til 2, out and in yard again, but back still bothering me so decided to write til 3:45, talked with Gerry and put books away, had a bath, Rhoda phoned, watched the hockey game with the boys, score Montreal 3 St. Louis 2, Montreal wins the Stanley Cup again. Shaved, changed, Gerry polished my shoes, out to CNIB by 5:35, got Rhoda, then downtown, parked car, to Marlborough Hotel, had a beer and chips, sat in foyer waiting for Phil G, found a table and listened to presentations, etc, we received $9.50 each for the team. Had a few dances with Rhoda and others, also butterfly dance with Phil and Winnie, left there at 11:50pm, took Phil home via Mid-town bridge and Osbourne Street, home via Pembina, Grant Kenaston and Portage, in by 12:40, talked, bed.

May 12, 1968 Sunday cloudy and mild, temp at noon +50F

Up at 6am to bathroom, don’t feel so good, brought up, took 2 aspirins, then back to bed, dozed til 9, up, dressed, then had to bring up again, back to bed and dozed til 9:45, up, tea and toast, talked, outside and trimmed front lawn, Chris worked on front lawn edging, then we planted the rest of C.Easter hedge, in and downstairs and swept and mopped basement, checked on Chris cultivating flower beds, good job, came in and had lunch, laid down and slept til 3, up, talked, Dave, Bett & kids here with Mother’s Day gift for Rhoda, a box of chocolates, then Linda came with a flower container and a table covering. Dave left a gun here that shoots pellets - I don’t like it. Rhoda and I in car for a ride to Bird’s Hill, then to a restaurant on Henderson Hwy and met Mum and Randolph there, had dinner, talked, then left to Railway trailer where Randolph works, then via Archibald, Provenche`, Main, Broadway, Osbourne, and Wellington to City Park, rode around the park, then out to Roblin Blvd to Ridleys Bird Sanc, and wandered around there til 9, home via Perimeter. Randolph and Mum left at 10:30pm, they said that Morton and Mary are moving to Vancouver in July. Talked, quite a bit of loving, then slept.

Up at 6:50, dressed, washed, breakfast, sat around and talked, KR, left in car to PO, into to work, talked, Bryan and I cleaning, in, orders til 10:30, tea, orders til 12, out in car and home, in, read, lunch, talked, left back to work, in very strong south wind, gust to 60mph, orders til 3:30, tea, orders til 4:30, out in car, Quebec still on strike, trouble brewing there, to PO, then home, talked slept on chesterfield, supper, read paper, talked, out took down front garden wall, Chris wheelbarrowed it around to the back, talked to Rhob Nelson, Chris stacked bricks, Rhoda making another dress, did writing til 10, tea and bread, talked, bed.

May 14, 1968 Tuesday cloudy and warm, temp at noon +61F

Up at 6:50, dressed, shaved, washed, a bit peeved at Rhoda because she said I never do anything for her, but that’s her own fault, breakfast, read, talked, out and looked at garden, KR, left in car to PO and to work, trailer til 10:30, tea, trailer til 12, out in car, home, lunch, read, left in car to bank then to work, orders til 3:30, back still bothering me, tea, the same til 4:30, out in car to PO, to CNIB got Rhoda, raining very hard. Home, in, talked, read paper, supper, laid down, Rhoda too. Slep til 7:20, up, tried to figure out how to connect speakers - I think I have to buy jacks to plug a speaker in, made out a few cheques for bills, did writing til 9:30pm, put books away, read, ate, bed.

Up at 7, dressed, shaved, washed, breakfast, talked, sat around til 8, KR, out in car to PO, to work, orders til 10:30, tea, orders til 12, out in car, very cold wind and gusty, lunch, dozed, out in car to work, orders til 3, tea, orders til 4:30, out in car, to PO and then CNIB, got Rhoda, then to Economart to get some groc’s, home, put stuff away, read paper, supper, laid down til 7:15, up, changed, Rhoda and I out in car to Airport to see Art and Eleanor leave for England, talked with them, then went up to Observation Deck and watched their plane leave, got real cold up there, so they have gone and left their 5 kids behind, hope everything works out okay. Talked with Norma, Lil, Shirley and Harold, finally we all went to The Black Knight on Ellice and parked, crowded, I had a beer and Rhoda the same, we all talked til 10, then home, had tea and bread, bed.

Up at 6am, to bathroom, back to bed and slept til 7:30am, up, dressed, washed, breakfast, talked, listened to radio, started car and cleaned snow from it for Rhoda, she’s gone at 8:50am, laid on chesterfield til 10, up, did writing til 11:30, made and had lunch, laid down and dozed til 3, read, Rhoda phoned, talked, Rhoda home, read paper, supper, can’t do anything outside-- too messy and cold so sat around, played some 78 records on stereo and had beer and chips, talked, read, bed at 11:30pm

Up at 7am, to bathroom back to bed, dozed, then petted and Loved Rhoda, dozed, up, washed, breakfast, talked, still very dull weather out, sat around and read, talked, fixed two treads on the basement stairs, put tools away, vacuumed stairs and hall, lunch, laid down and slept, up, talked, wanted to work outside but too cold, talked and read, rest of afternoon, supper, sat around, reading and talking and other things all evening, bed.

Up at 7:30, dressed, washed, made & had breakfast, took tea to Rhoda, read for awhile, then worked at changing flower bed at front til 10, then Rhoda and I walked to Sturgeon Rd and saw the parade, took two pictures, home at 10:45, worked on flower bed til 12:30, lunch, over to neighbours and looked at lawnmower and shed, got boys working in yard and did more work in front til about 4:30, put tools away, read paper, sent boys to get hamburgers and drink at A & W, ate, listened to radio, talked to Bett on the phone, Rhoda ironed, talked, bed.

Up at 6:55, dressed, shaved, washed, breakfast, sat around awhile, read water meter, KR, left to PO, to work, trailer and orders til 10:30, tea, talked, they are going to build a service station in Topps lot, may interfer with trucks coming to our place, trailer til 12, out in car, home, lunch, left to work, trailer til 3, tea, orders til 4:30, out in car to PO, to CNIB, got Rhoda, home, in, read, supper, laid down til 7:15, Rhoda gone to give blood, changed, did writing til 8, over to neighbour and told him I would buy his lawnmower and shed, talked to Nelson next door, looked at garden, Rhoda back, so we left in the car to Renfrew St and picked up Jessie, then to Linda’s via the usual route, talked, looked at baby -- he is still ugly -- talked, had tea, etc. left at 10:30, took Jessie home, then home by 11:30, in, tea, bed.

Out in car, picked up Rhoda at CNIB, home, in, read paper and did a little on the bring for the garden, but still too cool out. Rhoda out, listened to radio til about 10:30, put books away, had tea and bread, Rhoda home, talked, bed.

Up at 6:50am, dressed, shaved, washed, breakfast, talked, KR, out in car to PO, to work, orders til 10:30, tea, orders til 11;20, out in car to CNIB, got Rhoda, to Beneficial, got money, took Rhoda back to work by 12:30, to work and orders til 3:30, tea, same til 4:30, out in car, to PO and CNIB got Rhoda to stores, home, in, read paper, then supper, slept for awhile, went over and got lawnmower for $50, home and Chris and Gerry cut the grass. Rhoda gone to lodge, Jack and Joan here at 8, then Darell(?), me, Chris and Jack carried shed over ($75) and into the yard, in, had a beer, Jack and Joan left, read, ate, and sat around til 11pm, bed, slept, Rhoda came is at 12:30 she said but I never heard her.

Up at 7, to bathroom, to bed, slept til 9, up and dressed washed breakfast and out to finish fixing up new shed, cut grass in back, started to tear down old shed til about 1pm, put tools away, in, lunch, shaved and washed, put stuff in the car, left via Portage Ave, Sturgeon Rd, Perimeter, Hwy 59-44 east, stopped past Beausejour, got 4 bags of earth, kept going east on 44, stopped at Roadside park and waited for other people to leave, dug up a small fir tree, then we left headed east then stopped at a place near West Hawk Lake, ate supper, played catch with Gerry, wind was cold, left at about 6pm, 44 east then south to Falcon Lake Rd to #1 west to 11 and north to 15 at Archibald, Provenche and Portage, at home at 8:40pm, put stuff in, dumped earth in back yard, in, read, did writing, talked, bed, slept.

up at 6am, to bathroom, back to bed, did some petting, I can't get no satisfaction, up, washed, breakfast, talked, KR, out in car to PO, to work, trailer til 10:30, tea, trailer til 12, out in car, home, lunch, read, to service station, gas and oil, to work, trailer til 3:30, finished, tea, taking stock til 4:30, out in car to PO and CNIB, got Rhoda, to Economart, then home, put stuff away, laid down and slept til 8pm, Rhoda gone to Lodge, played 4 games of table tennis with boys, lost all, fixed up table for Gerry's Party tomorrow. heard on news that Dr. Martin Luther King, great Negro leader was assinated tonight, died in hospital. Did writing til about writing, no hockey game on cause of Liberal rally, did more writing til 9pm, then hockey came on part way through watched til 10:40, read, tea and donuts, Rhoda home, bed. We changed sides of bed to sleep on & I don't seem to be resting as well.

up 6:45 dressed, shaved, washed, breakfast and talked, listened to radio til 8, KR, out in car to PO, to work, orders til 10:30, tea, orders til 12, out in car, home, read, lunch, left to Dusbane Products on Madison Ave, picked up a squeegee for cleaning windows at warehouse, got other cleaning things, to work, cleaned office windows, cold wind out, changed water three times, did not do as good a job if it had been warmer out, put stuff away, orders til 3:30, tea, orders til 4:30, out in car to PO, to CNIB got Rhoda, home, in read paper, supper, dozed & sat, in chair, Kids from Gerry's room at school arrived for party they are having here tonight, played Crib and chinese checkers and talked with Rhoda upstairs while kids were downstairs, the kids seemed to have a good time, made alot of noise but behaved themselves very well, all gone by 11pm, ate, talked, bed, slept.

up at 6:40am dressed, shaved, washed, breakfast, read, listened to radio, out started car, sat til 8am, out in car to PO then to work, orders til 10:30, tea, and orders til 12, out in car and home, lunch. read, back to work at 1;10, orders til 3:30, tea, fooled with various things til 4:30, out in car to PO then CNIB, got Rhoda, we talked a little this time on the way to IGA, then home, read paper, supper, laid down til 7:45, fooled around in basement, up and read rest of evening til 10:30pm, ate, then to bed

March 22, 1968 Friday Temp at noon +24F sunny and mild

up at 6:50am, dressed, shaved, washed, seems I have picked up a cold sore at the corner of my mouth and right eye, breakfast, read, radio, out at 7:45, started car, sat til 8, KR, first time in 4 days, out in car to PO, to work, talked, orders small today, til 10:30, tea, took stock 4 times corrected them, entered orders on work sheet, then regular orders til 12, out in car home, read, lunch, left back to work at 1:05, a few orders til 3:30, tea, same til 4:30, out in car to PO, to CNIB, got Rhoda and home, read paper, supper, laid down and slept til 7:40, Rhoda had laid down on the chesterfield so the heck with her, if that is what she prefers, went to basement and did writing, til 9:30, read til 10:30, tea and bread, read, same from Rhoda, she expects too much but never sees my side of it, only her own, so went to sleep.

March 23, 1968 Saturday Temp at noon +30F sunny

tried to get Rhoda interested in a round about way but never tried to hard, up at 7:15, to bathroom then tried to get Rhoda to come back to bed for some loving but I got the cold sholder instead. I went back to bed til 8:05, dressed, washed, breakfast, talked a little but Rhoda acting the same, out at 9am, too cheque to bank, then to W.Sup, got a piece of plywood, then to bakery and home, put stuff in and put bread away, worked on cupboard, til 11am, shelves a little short, will have to adjust accordingly, Rhoda forgot to take lunch to work so will take it to her at noon, read, out in car to CNIB, left Rhoda's lunch, home, laid down and slept til 2pm, worked on cupboard for awhile, put things away, read paper, out to CNIB to pick up Rhoda at 4:30, to Economart, bought grocs, seems prices are cheaper, home, put stuff in, then supper. Jack phoned, got here at 7:30, talked, they were pretty surprised at the new stuff, taked most of evening, they left at 11:30, tea, read, bed, had some fun with Rhoda then slept.

March 24, 1968 Sunday Temp at noon +38F sunny and mild

up at 8am, dressed, washed, breakfast, talked, then Rhoda and I out in car went west on #1 to Portage la Prairie, got gas, rode around town for a while then onto Hwy 240 south but had to turn back because of poor road and airforce barracks, to HWY 131 east to #1, west and home by 12:15, lunch, talked, dozed, Bett and Dave and kids here, they liked our stuff, kids ran wild for awhile, they left at 4pm, talked, supper, started to play crib with Rhoda, Linda and Phil here, so quit and talked with them, played records then they left at 11pm, after tea, etc. talked, to bed, some loving then slept.

March 25, 1968 Monday Temp at noon +38 sunny

up at 6:45am, dressed, shaved, washed, breakfast, sat and talked awhile, out after much fooling around with clothes line, KR, left in car to PO, to work, took mail in, cleaned up yard a bit, took fixture from one of the flood lites and to it to Killeens to get glass replaced, back and orders to 10:30, tea, out to Killeens and got casing and new glass, back to warehouse and with Mac's help got light back on, orders til 12, out in car, home, had lunch talked, left to work, orders til 3:30, tea, orders til 4:30, helped with trailer til 5, out in car to PO then to Dot's on Marjorie, got eggs, then home at 5:30, in read paper, supper, laid down and slept til 6:45, up washed and changed, Rhoda gone to some display at Vicount Gort, went to basement and did some writing til 7:30pm, talked to Gerry for awhile, then went to corner bus to downtown beer parlour, 3 beers, then to bowling alley, bowled fair, had a shot of whiskey which Bruce had won in a draw, left their at 11:05 to corner, bus home at 11:45, had tea and bread, then to bed.

up at 6:45, dressed, washed, breakfast, talked and sat awhile, KR, left in car at 8am, to PO, to work, orders til 10:30, tea, orders til 12 out in car, home, lunch, read, left back to work, orders til 3, tea, orders til 4:30, out to PO and CNIB, got Rhoda, to IGA then hom, read paper, supper, talked, laid down til 8:45 Rhoda woke me up , talked, read, most of evening, had chocolate milk and bread, then bed, talked, Rhoda sure likes to rile me, bringing up things best forgotten, she still thinks I think more of the car than of her, but she is wrong, was peeved, so went to sleep.

up at 5am, to bathroom, to bed and slept til 6:50am, shaved, washed, breakfast, listened to radio, KR, left at 8am, to PO to work, Mac not coming in til noon, orders til 10:30, tea, orders til 12 out in car, hom, read, lunch, went to bank, to store then to work, talked to Mac about his daughter, then orders til 3:30, tea, orders til 4:30, out in car to PO, bought stamps, to CNIB, got Rhoda, home, read paper, supper, laid down, slept then Rhoda came & we fooled around but thats all because she had to get ready to go to lodge, Made out bills & got ready what I could, then washed dishes, Rhoda gone to lodge, Gerry dried dishes, did writing til 9:15, then watched Gerry playing chinese crib, then played a round myself, Rhoda home, talked, read, tea, bed.

up at 6:40, dressed shaved, washed, breakfast, talked a bit, sat around til 7:55, KR, out in car to PO, to work, talked, usual jobs til 10:30, tea, same til 12, out in car, home, made and had lunch, left to CNIB with keys Rhoda left at hom, then to work at 1:10, orders til 3:30, tea, orders til 4:30, in car to PO to CNIB got Rhoda, to IGA for Grocs, then home, stayed outside and raked lawn til 5:40, in for supper, read paper, dozed, helped Gerry oil and clean his bike, out in car with Rhoda to Kmart, bought a few thing and looked at LP's, home by 9:40, fooled around with cards with Gerry til 11:15, then to bed, had to get up again to let Chris in, fooled around trying to get Rhoda warmed up, then slept.

March 30, 1968 Saturday Temp at noon +35F cloudy and cooler

up about 7:10am, dressed, washed, breakfast, talked, fooled around til 9, out in car, backed out of drive and it stalled, had to start it by holding choke open, too Rhoda to work, DR, left to bakery got bread, forgot bags, home, bagged bread and put it away, down, cut glass for Rhoda's picture, glas broke so had to cut another, corner broke off that, have to get more glass, did writing and copying, til lunch, laid down, slept til 2:30pm, read, played chinese crib til 4:15, out in car, raining and snow, to CNIB, talked left at 5pm, nearly backed into a woman dring on my blind side, why she was trying to get behind me, Ill never know, to Economart bought a bunch of groc's, home put stuff away, talked, read paper, supper, dozed in chair til 8:30, Rhoda was laying down & is up, talked, played old 78's til 10:30, most of them are all right if you want a change of music, hot chock, then to bed,

March 31, 1968 Sunday Temp at noon +31F partly cloudy and cool

up at 6:45 to bathroom, back to bed and slept till 9am, dressed, washed, breakfast, talked, went to basement and cut wooden box down to store records inside, also fixed up a few thing, started to work on Gerry's bike to put a new pedal on it, had quite a time fighting with it, lunch, read, talked, laid down, slept til 3:45, up shaved, washed, down did some more on Gerry's bike, not good, the pedal from Chris's bike won't fit, will have to get a new one, did writing, til 5:40, put books away, talked, supper, dozed awhile, phoned Jack, but they will be out so won't go there, watched tv Johnny Belinda show til 9:30, talked, listened to radio, ate and read, bed, did a little loveing, then slept.

up at 7:10am. dressed, washed, breakfast, read awhile, then shaved, out and started car, had tea, KR left at 8am in car to PO then to work, Mr Lloyd in town, Bryan away, orders and trailer til 10:30, tea, orders til noon, out in car to home, lunch, read left to bank then to work, orders til 3:30, tea, orders til 4:30, out in car to PO then to CNIB, got Rhoda and Linda was there too. Home, read paper, dozed til supper, laid down til 7:30 talked, with Phil and Linda, played some records - 78's - they left at 10:30pm, tea & bread, bed, slept.

March 2, 1968 Saturday Temp at noon +10 cloudy
Rhoda woke me up at 5am by petting me, but I just couldn't get interested or something, up at 5:30 to bathroom, to bed and slept off and on til 8am, dressed washed, breakfast, sat around, out and started car, too Rhoda to work by 9:30am and I went to IGA and then bakery, then home, put stuff away, made and had lunch, cleared table, sorted bills, then did writing, laid down til 2:30pm, up sanded shelves, cleaned up sawdust and mess with vacuum, also vacuumed rug, then out to barbers for haircut, back home, read paper then out to CNIB to pick up Rhoda at 4:30. Rhoda bought 2 stereo records, played them, talked read, supper, dozed in chair, then watched tv til 8:30pm, fooled around at different things, reading etc, ate had tea, talked, bed.

March 3, 1968 Sunday Temp at noon+26 cloudy, mildup 8:30am, dressed washed, breakfast, talked, did a few things then sorted out all the 78 records, played some, can't find 2 favorite records of mine, talked, read, lunch, laid down, slept til 2:30, talked did a few thing around the place, read, supper, at 6:30 Randolph and MUM here, talked all evening about different things, had tea, they left at 10:30pm, read for awhile, then bed, had some fun, then slept.

March 6, 1968 Wednesday Temp at noon +32F cloudyup at 6:50am. dressed shaved, washed, breakfast, talked, sat til 7:45, out to start car, scrapped back window, in for tea, KR, left at 8 in car to PO then to work, orders & trailer til 10:30am, tea, same til noon, out in car home lunch, read, left to bank, then to work, orders til 3:30pm, tea, orders til 4:30pm, out in car to PO then to CNIB and got Rhoda, home, no stuff yet, talked, helped with getting supper ready, read paper supper laid down, slep til 7:10, Rhoda on phone & talking to K McEwen so I went downstairs and watched Hockey game til 9:15, helped Rhoda move some furniture, then watched Gunsmoke til 10:30pm Rhoda is trying to knit something again, talked, had tea, bread and jam, read, bed.

March 8, 1968 Friday Temp at noon +32Fup at 6:40am dressed shaved,, washed, breakfast, listened to radio, talked, out at 7:45 to start car, scraped windows, talked, tea, KR, out in car to work, talked, orders til 10:30am, tea, and orders til noon, out in car to home for lunch, read & left back to work, orders til 3:30, tea and orders til 4:35, out in car to PO and CNIB, got Rhoda and went to IGA and bakery, the home, read paper, supper, laid down and slept til 7:30. Rhoda was too. KR, up talked fooled around doing different things, phone Jack to see if he had my two favourite 78's, phoned Bett and talked for half hour about what paint colour we should use for walls, & wondered when furniture would come. Had tea and bread, read then to bed. Petted, then for the first time in 13 years I never removed it at the time of expelling, I hope everything will be okay. the only thing it will prove will be whether them pills Rhoda been taking are any good. Talked, slept.

up at 6:48am, dressed shaved washed, breakfast, don't feel so good with backache, etc.talked, sat around awhile, started car and back in for tea, KR, left at 8am for PO and to work, talked, orders til 10, tea, orders til 12, out in car, still snowing, home in car, lunch, read, back to work by 1pm, orders til 3:30, tea, did a little cleaning til 4:30, out in car, still snowing, driving slippery, to PO and to CNIB got Rhoda, to bakery, then home, read paper, dozed in chair, supper, talked, dozed, out and started car, left, took Rhoda and another woman to Lodge, in St. James, home by 7:40pm, wated TV then did writing, put books away, talked with boys, read for rest of evening, had tea & bread, Rhoda home, KR bed, slept.

March 15, 1968 Friday Temp at noon +23F very mild

up at 6:40 am dressed, shaved, washed, breakfast, read, talked, listened to radio, out at 7:50 to start car, tea, sat til 8, KR, out to PO then to work, orders til 9:30, took stock-a few errors, tea at 10:30am, talked, corrected stock count, did a few other things til 11:30, out in car to Electrohome store, satisfied about the set we are getting, home, made lunch, read, phoned Ieleins(?) at Niverville, he'll try to get it here with other stuff, out after phoning Linda, took Rhoda to work, work, orders til 3:25, tea, orders til 4:30, out in car to PO and to CNIB to pick up Rhoda, to IGN, then home, Rhoda disappointed about delivery of stuff, talked put away groceries, read paper, supper, laid down, was going to sleep but with Rhoda there we petted and had a go. Got up and worked on cupboard, but need more lumber for shelves, talked and read, rest of evening, had tea & donuts, talked, bed, slept.

up at 5am, to bathroom, back to bed til 8am, tea and toast, talked, radio, out at 8:50 and started car, left at 9am, took Rhoda to work KR, to IGA and bakery, home, put stuff in and away, sat around til 10:35, and watched some TV, did writing and copying old books into new til 12:15pm, put books away, lunch, read, laid down and slept til 2;30pm, washed car, now it looks alot better, but alot of rust marks, put things away, shovelled snow at front, read paper, then out at 4:20 in car to CNIB got Rhoda home at 5pm, in talked read paper, supper, dozed in chair til 7:30pm Rhoda and I watched Lawrence Welk Show on TV til 9:30, then read and talked rest of evening, bed about 11pm.

March 10, 1968 Sunday Temp at noon +8 cloudy and cold

up at 5:30am, to bathroom and back to bed, dozed, Rhoda fooling around but I just couldn't get interested, dozed, up at 8:15am, dressed, washed, breakfast, Rhoda acting mad - now she knows what it is like to be disappointed, read, talked, did a few thing down the basement til 11am, upstairs, talked to Bett on the phone. Lunch, read, listened to radio. Rhoda in car to go to Lodge at the Marlborough Hotel. I had to go and start car in the street because she had stalled & flooded it, got it going, she's left, got garden books, made out order for Glads from the east, did writing til about 3pm, read, peeled spuds, Rhoda back, she said meeting was not very good on account of piano accident. helped with supper, Mom and Randolph here, talked about all sorts of things, morbid some of them, they left at 9:30pm, read and talked rest of evening, had tea and bread, bed 11:20pm

up at 6:40am. dressed, washed, breakfast, talked, read, listened to radio, out and started car, finished tea, KR, left at 8am, to P.O. then to work, talked, Bryan back, orders til 3:30pm, tea, orders til 4:30, back has been bothering me all day today. out in car to P.O. home, in, read paper, new chesterfield and chair came today, helped unpack them and set them up, looks very good, I guess, Rhoda was good on her selection. read paper, supper, laid down, slept til 7, shaved and washed and changed, sat awhile, KR, to corner bus to bowling alleys, bowled poor, out at 11:15pm, bus home talked & read, tea and bread, then to bed, talked, slept.
