Home 10:45 am in read lunch, left 1:30 pm to B. Hartz home, he’s gone to skating shack, to Rosies, left, Bill home, in, gave Mum 40 ¢ washed changed read, supper, washed dishes, B. Hartz came, out 7:15pm took some records & cigts to Kelly R. at 7:30 pm in talked out tramped to Morse Place & back to Kellys in ate played records, we had a good time, home at 1:15pm in bed 1:30 pm

Up 9:45 am * washed dishes, read, out, went uptown with Bill & A & R Dixon, to HBC to Eatons, met Simpson, he & Aleck went to a show, so we walked home, in supper, in all night, Bill, Nelson, & R. Coates called, Nelson wanted books but I wouldn’t lend him any, they’re gone, read & so to bed at 12 am.

December 1, 1930 Monday weather cold
My Birthday, 21 years old; Wish I was sixteen, went uptown in the morning, never saw Lil, met Flo Steele and Marge Farghson, talked awhile, left to Eatons, FreePress, met B. Nicols, to H Bay, Kresge’s, Eatons restroom, streetcar, Met Lil my sister & daughter Norma, talked they are going to Roses, home 12:30 pm, lunch, went to Roses, got razor blades, home shaved & washed down read, slept supper stayed in all evening, Nelson was here for awhile, lent him 2 books, read, bed 11:30 pm
December 2, 1930 Tuesday weather milder
Up 8:30 am * shovelled snow from walks, etc. back & fron, helped Dad fix furnace door drafts, lunch upstairs, shaved & washed, asked Mom for 2¢ for a stamp to write a letter Lil R. for the books she borrowed, never did, waited till Monday, slept most of afternoon, Nelson phoned, supper out to store for tobacco, met N. Up 8:15 am * Art gone out, down the basement and cleaned it up, read a book then gave our dog Roddy a licking because he wouldn’t come in when I called. Lunch 12:30 read all afternoon, supper then out to Vinter’s store, met Nelson & b. Hartz to cold out so both went home, Bill said he has a car, a star, home *:30 pm read and other things all evening. Up 8:30 am * walked uptown, went to Free Press, Eatons, King Geo Billiears, home by 12:30pm Lunch, slept most of afternoon, supper out Vinter’s, met B.Hartz & Nelson, Bill & I went out to Bill’s sister’s place in St. James in Bills car, listened to records, left 11:10 pm got stuck in a snowdrift, finally got out, Bill drove to Arlington & Portage and I to Gen Motors garage on Fort St. got a lift home in truck to Redwood & Main, walked the rest of the way home, by 12:30 am.
