March 9, 1968 Saturday Temp at noon +20F partly cloudy
up at 7:15am, dressed washed breakfast, talked about paint and who much money we had for Grocerys, sat around, out at 8:40am, started car, left at 9am took Rhoda to work at CNIB then to bakery and to IGA spent $12, talked with Bob Hammerston awhile, then home and put stuff away, put bread in freezer, sat awhile then did writing, put books away by 12, made and had lunch, read, laid down, slept til 2:30, reading about trips we made through the years, til 3:45, read paper, out to pick up Rhoda at CNIB left at 5:05pm, home, helped with supper, read paper, talked, dozed in chair til 7:30pm, watched the Lawrence Welk Show, read, talked, played records til 11pm, had tea & cake, then bed, slept

March 10, 1968 Sunday Temp at noon +8 cloudy and cold
up at 5:30am, to bathroom and back to bed, dozed, Rhoda fooling around but I just couldn't get interested, dozed, up at 8:15am, dressed, washed, breakfast, Rhoda acting mad - now she knows what it is like to be disappointed, read, talked, did a few thing down the basement til 11am, upstairs, talked to Bett on the phone. Lunch, read, listened to radio. Rhoda in car to go to Lodge at the Marlborough Hotel. I had to go and start car in the street because she had stalled & flooded it, got it going, she's left, got garden books, made out order for Glads from the east, did writing til about 3pm, read, peeled spuds, Rhoda back, she said meeting was not very good on account of piano accident. helped with supper, Mom and Randolph here, talked about all sorts of things, morbid some of them, they left at 9:30pm, read and talked rest of evening, had tea and bread, bed 11:20pm
March 11, 1968 Monday Temp at noon +4F fair & cold
up at 6:40am. dressed, washed, breakfast, talked, read, listened to radio, out and started car, finished tea, KR, left at 8am, to P.O. then to work, talked, Bryan back, orders til 3:30pm, tea, orders til 4:30, back has been bothering me all day today. out in car to P.O. home, in, read paper, new chesterfield and chair came today, helped unpack them and set them up, looks very good, I guess, Rhoda was good on her selection. read paper, supper, laid down, slept til 7, shaved and washed and changed, sat awhile, KR, to corner bus to bowling alleys, bowled poor, out at 11:15pm, bus home talked & read, tea and bread, then to bed, talked, slept.
March 12, 1968 Tuesday Temp at noon +10F fair and milder
up at 6;45am, dressed, washed, breakfast, read, talked, listened to radio, started car, in for tea, KR, left in car to P.O. to work, orders til 10:30am, tea and orders til noon, out in car home read, lunch, back to work after going to station for gas, orders til 3:30, tea, and more orders to quiting time, to P.O., to CNIB to pick up Rhoda, home, in, back still bothering me, read paper, laid down, , slept, back still bad, talked, decide to fix drapes, tried to do it without taking them down, but in the end we had to. moved the hanging rods and hangers over, rehung drapes and now they work okay. read, and talked most of the evening, had tea, then to bed, slept
