up 6:40 am dressed, breakfast, out to Paulin’s, 7:25am, worked til 12pm lunch, played cards, worked til 5:30pm, home, supper, out Muirs then went skating, home 10:30pm read, bed.

January 17, 1932 Sunday

up 8am, dressed, breakfast, out to Rose’s, got socks, met A. Dixon, then went snowshoeing, til 4pm, home, slept til 6pm, supper, out to Roxy then to Muirs, home, bed.

January 20, 1932 Wednesday

up 6:40 am dressed, breakfast, out to Paulin’s, worked all day & laid off til Monday, home, supper, read, bed.

January 21, 1932 Thursday

up 9am, dressed, breakfast, fooled around til lunch, out to Paulin’s, got pay, $11.15, to Lyceum Theatre with Sam Carr, saw Frankenstein, to HBC, to Donald St streetcar, home, supper, out to Roxy Theatre, saw Jean and I thought she wanted to say something to me but don’t know for sure, to Muirs then home.

January 28, 1932 Thursday

up 6:30 am dressed, breakfast, out to work by 7:15am, worked til 12pm lunch, worked til 5:30pm got pay $6.00, worked til 6pm, home, supper out to Roxy Theatre, then home, read, bed.

January 30, 1932 Saturday

up 9am dressed, breakfast, Dad home now from hospital, good, lunch, shaved and washed, out to Rose’s, there all afternoon, home, then out to Muirs, home, supper, in all evening, slept til 9pm read, played crib with Dad & Art, lost, Mum home, talked, bed.

February 4, 1932 Thursday

up 6:45 am dressed, breakfast, out to Paulin’s worked til 12pm, lunch, worked til 5:30pm got pay, $12:15, saw Harry, he says to come in Monday, Wpgs first in Olympics Score 2-1, out to Erzinger’s, then home, supper, met A. Dixon, to Roxy then to Muirs, then home, read, bed.

February 6, 1932 Saturday

up 9:45 am dressed, breakfast, did dishes, washed stairway and hall floors, lunch, basement, painted furnace pipes, had a bath, supper, out to Muir’s then home, read, bed.

February 7, 1932 Sunday

up 1pm, dressed, lunch, painted pipes, in all afternoon, supper, Bob & Lily, Rose & Harold here, played cards all evening, ate, they left, read, bed.

February 10, 1932 Wednesday

up 6:30 am, dressed, breakfast, out to Paulin’s , worked til 12, lunch, worked with Trixie all day, could have but didn’t try anything, though she gave out she wanted something, very nice girl though, worked til 6pm, home, supper, laid down slept, in all night, bed.

February 11, 1932 Thursday

up 6:30am dressed, breakfast, to work, worked til 12, lunch, worked til 5:30, laid off again, home, supper, in all evening, played cards, bed.

February 18, 1932 Thursday

up usual time, dressed, breakfast, fooled around all morning, lunch, out to Muirs, cigarettes, streetcar to uptown Paulin’s, got pay $9.00 to W.L Mckenzie Co. On Bannatyne, got cards, to bank, drew out $10 to Tip Top Tailors, ordered a suit, then home, supper, walked with Mum to Roxy Theatre, to Muirs, to Roxy, saw Jean, never got a chance to speak to her, to Muir’s had milkshake, bought book, home, read , bed.

February 22, 1932 Monday

up 8:45am, dressed, breakfast, washed dishes, fixed clothes line, then cleared snow away, lunch, slept most of the afternoon, out to Muirs, cigarettes, home, played 500, then to bed.

February 26, 1932 Friday

up 6:30 am dressed, breakfast, out to Paulin’s worked til 6pm, out streetcar home, supper, out to Muir’s, met B. Shick, talked, water valve broke, what a mess, walked out to Kildonan and back, home, played checkers, crib with Mum, bed.

February 27, 1932 Saturday

up 9am dressed, breakfast, now all water turned off because of valve breaking, to Muir’s , beat Carl at two games of checkers, home, cleaned snow away, lunch, read, drained water away, talked to Alf Shapr, read, laid down, supper, shaved and washed, did writing, only worked 2 days, never saw Trixie, out to Muir’s med B. Shick and A. Dixon, walked to Wpg Theatre, after show to MacDonalds, home, 11:50pm, talked, bed.

February 29, 1932 Monday

up dressed breakfast, to Paulin’s worked til 12pm, lunch played cards worked, laid off again, home, supper, out saw & talked to Ted Woods (cousin) out to Muirs, got tobacco, home, read, bed.

March 3, 1932 Thursday

up dressed, breakfast, in all morning, lunch, left at 2:30pm, streetcar downtown, to Tip Top, got suit, to Paulin’s got pay $4.00, streetcar home, showed suit to Art, supper, out to Muir’s to Roxy Theatre, B. Shick saw Jean but never spoke, home lit fire, Art home, talked, bed.
