Up 8:40 am * out 9:45 am walked downtown to Eaton’s, went in car show, met Kelly, Winnie and B. Robinson, talked, walked home with Bill R. home 12:45 pm in lunch washed dishes, out to Rosies, in, threw wood in for them, stayed for supper, left Rosies at 7:45 pm to E. Kildonan rink and looked around, back to Rosies, played crib with Harold, Rose back, rode home in car with Lil Y, in bed 11:40pm

February 3,1931 Tuesday Weather; mild

* lunch, out to Vinters, walked out to E. Kildonan , saw Lil R. never spoke to her, home in 8:30 pm read and to bed.

February 4, 1931 Wednesday Weather; mild

Up 8:30 am * met Bill H. & R. Dixon, to Eatons, Hbay, to Eatons, home 12pm in lunch #, out to City Rink, played 500 left, went to Kildonan Rink, but no skating, so home 4:30pm, saw Mum, peeled spuds, shaved washed, supper, out at 7:05 pm to Vinters. Lester took us in car to Harrison & Kildonan Rinks, skated all night twice with Kelly, not a bad skater. Left 10:10pm home in 10:30pm bed 11:40 pm

Up 10:30 am * , upstairs and did writing, 11am phoned Bill H. out & we went snowshoeing, met Kelly & Winnie, had some fun, home 6:30 pm in, supper, Bob & Lily here, Kelly phoned wants me to come to her place bu never did, stayed in & played 500 rummy with Bob, Mum & Art, lost, ate, Bob & Lily gone at 10:10pm played Rummy til 11:30pm, bed

Art makes me mad always starting something. Down, read paper, supper, washed dishes, out at 8:30pm to Rose’s, she’s not in, stayed til 9pm, home in, read, Mum home, she had won 2nd prize at Whist, talked then Bed.

Up at 1pm * # read til 4pm, made tea for Mum, sewed a button on breeches, then shaved, washed, read, supper. Out to Vinters, met Nelson to E. Kildonan rink, skated til 10:30 pm home 10:45pm, talked, then bed.

Up * shovelled, swept snow from walks, in lunch, played crib with Art, read, supper out to rink, nothing doing, home, in, played crib & other games all evening, then bed 12:30 pm

Up 1pm * lunch, washed dishes, upstairs, in all afternoon, supper, out to Vinters, then walked to E. Kildonan Rink, with Bill H. & A. Dixon, nothing doing, so left them, came in at 8:30, no one home, read, Art in at 10pm, bed and Dad came in 2:30 am.

Up 10 am * Doug Stuart was here all night, #, Mum home, read, Mrs Peake here, lunch, #, read, supper, 6:30 pm out to Vinters with Bill & aleck, to E. Kildonan Rink waited around, then went to Aleck’s place got some snowshoes took them home, walked to Northend, & back to Kelvin, Bill & Aleck gone, so home, in, read, played crib with Art & Doug, won 3, bed 12:30 am.

Up 10:30 AM, *, upstairs, washed, phoned bill Robinson, i might go, upstairs, washed and changed, left 2 PM, their at 2:30 PM, went snowshoeing with Kelly Winnie and Bill R., home, 6:30 PM, supper, changed, out 7:30 PM, Met Bill, walk around, met Kelly and Winnie. Talked, left. Home 10:30 PM, made tea for Mum, talked, bed.

Up 8:30 AM. *, left 9 AM. Uptown to Eaton’s, met art, to King George billiards, watched play for a while, left, home, in, lunch, played some records, in all afternoon, supper, in all evening, played crib with Doug and Art, won 4 out of 5 games, bed 12 AM.

Up 8:30 AM, *, washed dishes, cleaned house, polished knives, forks, spoons, silver. Rose came and fooled around then left for Transcona. Art wouldn’t give me any of his tobacco. Laid down, answered phone for Mum, Mrs. Peake, lunch, Jesse home, phoned, read, supper, Doug here, out to Vinter’s, to the rink with Bill H. and Alec, then to North end rink with Bill H., Boy, was it foggy out and how, couldn’t see a thing kind of eerie, lousy weather. Home 10:30 PM, played cards with Mum, art, Doug and Jesse. Bed 12 AM

Up 9:30 AM* washed dishes, also Hall cleaning and living room floors, sat and read a while, lunch, Mrs. P. not coming, upstairs awhile, supper, out to rink, came home for skates, back to rink, skated all night, Winnie M. fell and broke her nose while skating by herself, home 10:30 PM, talk, bed.
